Al Di Meola


Al Di Meola is known throughout the world for the past two and a half decades as one of the most prominent virtuosos in the comtemporary jazz field. He is honored in the highest rated guitar poll in the world, the Guitar Player Magazine. In 1980, he formed the "Super Guitar Trio" with Paco de Lucia and John Mclaughlin. The song "Mediterranean Sundance" played by the three is famous. He also plays with jazz pianist Chick Corea, and occasionally held concerts. He is also the pioneer of shred guitar, influencing guitarists such as Yngwie Malmsteen.
