The assignment that every student was supposed to do was create a web page. The object was to pick a topic that you really wanted to work on and go forward with so that you could create a webpage on it. Working with Dreamweaver throughout this chapter tought me many different things. I gained a lot of knowledge about the application and I gained many skills for using it. The most challenging aspect was when I first used Dreamweaver it was extremely difficult and I had many problems. I actually had to do the first assignment a couple of different times. However those problems helped me out in the long run and the things I learned helped me create this website. The least challenging aspect was when I knew what I was doing because once I did I could do everything on my own. The completion of this task has helped me to meet 1.1 Communicate effectively using oral, written, and technological formats, 1.4 Demonstrate the use of reasoning and problem solving skills and strategies through analysis and synthesis of data and information, in the Academic Learning Expectations. Also 2.1 demonstrate the behaviors and skills for independence and collaboration in the Social and Civic Learning Expectations. As well as 1.2 Students are proficient in the use of technology, 2.2 Students practice responsible use of technology systems, information, and software, and 5.1 Students use technology to locate, evaluate and collect information from a variety of sources in the Technology Standard Technology research tools.I really enjoyed creating this page however considering it was something that I was interested in and was completely individual. It is really cool knowing that I made an entire webpage, and especially because it is something that I would actually like to look at instead of the ones they have us create in the book. In the end this project was a fun creation and I am glad that I got to do it.
