Eric Clapton in Cream

<Previous | Next>

Eric Clapton is argueably the greatest guitarist of all time. He is the only three time inductee to the rock and roll hall of fame. Cream, was claptons big breakthrough, and was the first band to exploit the power trio format. With claptons unique bluesy rock playing and driveing wah sounds, cream became a very successful band. After Cream broke up, clapton went along to work with Derek and the Dominoes, where he wrote the hit song Layla. After Derek and the Dominoes Eric went on to have a successful solo carrer dispite haveing drug problems, which he later overcame. The amazing part about Clapton's carrer is that he could put out so many good songs and be so successful for so long. Clapton truely is a "guitar god".
