History of the Baltimore Ravens
The Baltimore Ravens are a Professional American football team in the Northern Division in the National Football LeaugeThe team's name is a reference to the poem "The Raven" by Edgar Allen Poe, who lived in Baltimore. This Organization was founded in 1996 when Art Modell, owner of the Clevland Browns relocated the team from Clevland to Baltimore. A new Clevland Browns team was started again in 1999. The Ravens won their opening game against the Okland Raiders.The Ravens won their first Superbowl in 2001(Super Bowl XXXV) against the New York Giants, winning 34-7. This is the only Superbolw they have ever won.
