Web Design Reflection

For this common task we had to make or own website. To do so I had to pick a topic that interested me. Then I had to make a flash and then I made a website on Macromedia Dreamweaver. After I made the website with all the different pages needed for the criteria I exported my flash to my website. That is what I had to do for my web design common task.

The most challenging part of this task was the website. I had difficulty with all the links and having to keep track of all my pictures. I forgot to site a picture and it took a while to remember where I got it. The easiest part of this task was the flash. I was always pretty good at making flashes and I learned the stuff I didn’t know yet in class.

I met the standard 1.1; communicate effectively using oral, written, and technological formats, by making my website to tell people about my topic. I met 1.2, meet proficiency in content and applied learning standards as outlined in the Rhode Island High School Diploma System, by make a proficient grade for both the website and the reflection. I met the 1.4 standard; demonstrate the use of reasoning and problem solving skills and strategies through analysis and synthesis of data and information, by having to figure out some things that I wasn’t taught in this class. I met the standard 2.1; demonstrate the behaviors and skills for independence and collaboration, by writing what I want to write. I met 2.2; participate as a citizen in the local, national, and global community, by making a website and putting it on the internet. I met the standard 5.1, students use technology to locate, evaluate, and collect information from a variety of sources, by using the internet to find pictures for my site
