Now, more than ever, people are realizing the importance of ornithology. With habitat destruction and pollution on the rise, our birds all over the world are in danger. Ornithology is one of the many ways that we are helping to keep our Earth's birds alive. There are many different things that ornithologists do, and they all help. Whether they're teaching and informing other people, are actually out in the field trapping, cataloging, banding, or doing tests to wild birds, or even working in zoos with domestic breeding programs, these people are the wind beneath bird's wing, keeping species alive that are on the verge of extinction, or making sure healthy species stay off the endangered chart. With new and improved technology, we are able to find out more about birds than ever before. we know about their life, diet, ranges, and many other facts that may help us keep these great animals alive!
