Chunky heels were very thickly-soled shoes. Overly thick soled shoes were made so the wearer looked much taller than they actually were.

Wedge heels were a type of shoe, with a round toe and thicker platform sole in the front that narrows towards the back. Wedges have no actually heel but they cool if you want to looks more mainstream but do not actually want to wear spikes.

Cone heels are a heel that is wide at the time and narrow at the bottom.

A kitten heel has a stiletto heel of five centimeters or less in height.

Cuban heels are a broad heel of moderate height with a slightly tapered back and striaght front, used in shoes and some boots.

Clear heels are just heels that are made of a transparent material.

A spool heel is a heel that is wide at the bottom and narrower in the middle. Spool heels were first popular in Europe during the early Georgian era.

Boots: The first boot store was open in 1849, John Boot opened it to orignally be an herb shop. In 1918, the company Timerland opened up and sold boots and other woodsy and camping items like jackets and coats. In 1960, the first Dr. Marten boot was established and sold. In 2009, the UGG boot was created and sold using sheep skin and wool for the inside and outside. They are a popular fashion for the winter because they are so well insulated. A rainboot was designed in soft calfskin leather and had the trim removed and was cut closer around the leg. It was hard wearing for battle but they were comfortable for evening. They are popular today during the spring and fall and are good to have to keep the bottom of jeans dry and to have fun jumping in puddles.

Sneakers: The first rubber-soled shoe was manufactured in the 1800's called plimsolls. In 1892, the U.S Rubber Company began making rubber and canvas shoes. In 1917, Keds were the first marketed athletic shoes. These shoes are later called sneakers by Henry Nelson McKinney because the soles are quiet and make no noise on an surface. Also in 1917, Converse released the first performance basketball shoe, the Converse All Star. In 1920, Adi Dassler, founder of Adidas, began producing handmade training shoes. In 1931, Adidas produced thier first tennis shoe. In 1948, PUMA is founded by Puma Schuhfabrik Rudolf Dassler, and the first football shoe was worn. In 1971, the Nike swoosh trademark is purchased and advertised. In 1981, Blue Ribbon Sports and Nike form to make Nike inc.
