It is clear that King's early experiences helped to shape his career as a blues musician. Although he said, "I struggle with words," B.B. King became a famous musician through the words of his songs. With his experiences dating as far back as his mother's slavery, he incorporates everything he has learned to bring out his true feelings and emotions through his songs. Although he claimed that words were not his friends, he believed that the simple rhythm of blues captured his thoughts vividly.

Blues originated in the experiences of African American slavery in early America. This type of music helped the hard and long days go by. Although used as a motivational force, these songs also represented messages such as warnings about survival and daily plantation life. Sometimes these songs were about the sun or storm.....
