The Begining:ring

Ohio State football started in 1890 when Geogre Cole and Alexander S. Lilley introduced football to the campus. Ohio Sates played in the Football Independent from 1890 through 1901 before they tied in to the OAC which is the Ohio Athletic Conference. While the Buckeyes where in the OAC they won two conference championships in 1906 and 1912. After winning in 1912 the Buckeyes left the OAC and joined the Big Ten Conference.

Titles:

Ohio State has played in two conferences in its history the Big Ten and the OAC and since then they have won the conference title 36 times which is the third most of any team in college football.
