Types of Tennis Courts

Hard Courts: Hard courts are the most common type in the U.S. They can be both indoor and outdoor, and are what most people think of when they hear "tennis".
Grass Courts: Grass courts are made of grass that is very mowed down. They make the ball bounce the fastest and lowest of any type of common tennis court. They were once very popular, but aren't as much anymore due to high maintnence fees.
Red Clay: Clay courts have a higher and slower bounce than hard courts. They are cheaper to construct, but require more maintence.
Har-Tru: Har-Tru Courts are very similar to ones made of red clay, but the ball bounces a little faster and lower.
