Designing my own website was one of the most interesting things I have done in the high school this year. The task consisted of me choosing one of my interests and creating a website about my interest. The webpage had certain requirements for it to proficient though such as that it had to have six web pages, a flash created by myself, and all pictures and information used had to be cited. I learned the content by completing the lessons my teacher taught us in class that were found in the packets I received. In this task I demonstrated my skills in using Dreamweaver and I demonstrated my skills at making animated gifs with adobe flash. I needed to acquire these skills to fully complete my website. I first made a plan for my websites layout and pages and then I created the website using the skills I learned in the task.  One obstacle that I encountered was that my flash wasn’t working properly and I noticed that I had exported it as the wrong file type and fixed my mistake. This task has helped me understand how people in the real world create their websites and I am better prepared for a career in web design in the future. I will use these skills when trying to help other people create websites or if I ever need to make a website for my company in the future.
