Archery: The art or skill of shooting a bow and arrow.

Archery is an anciant art that has survived the test of time and is still very present today. Archery can be a form of hunting, precition sport, pastime, and in some countries it is still used as a weapon.

But unlike technique and popularity the styles of bows have expanded. There are now three main kinds of bows: long bows, recurve bows, and compound bows. long bows are known for reliability and they are easy to make (beginers please dont take this to heart). Long bows are the oldest kind of bow and are the origin of archery. Recurve bows allow for more power with the same draw weight as a long bow, plus Recurve bows just look cool. Compound bows get easier to finish the draw at the very end and allow you to hold the draw for longer. They also are typicly easier to customise. Compound bows are also the typical bow hunters choice weapon.
