Eddie Blake, aka "The Comedian"

Edward Blake is a vigilante from the older days of vigilantic activities known as the Comedian. A former member of the Minutemen, he became a government agent over time, handling crime in the streets in New York, yet was also susceptible to being drafted into any wars without question. This however, did not seem to upset him. Seeing so much crime and so many different types of evils, Edward Blake has a sort of sense of awareness that noone else really possesses. This sense fuels his general attitude towards life, with his own sort of outlook on life; he understands all of the wrld's greatest pains and anxieties, however, rather than be wrapped up in all the anxiety and fear, he just doesn't entirely care to let it all affect him. He is thrown out of his apartment window in the very first chapter as a testament to his knowledge and experiance, and his smiley face pin picked up by Rorschach at the very beginning is one of the most powerful symbols in the entire grahpic novel. www.weirdspace.dk
