Keel Boats

There are two types of multihulls: Catamarans (two hulls) and trimarans (three hulls). They also come in a variety of sizes and designs. One of the downsides to owning a multihull is the width and the inconvenience for trailoring and docking. The most popular multihull is the trimaran because the two outer hulls can fold against the center hull to provide a more manueverable vessel. Both types of cruising multihulls are valued for their internal cabin space. Multihulls can be great for either cruising or for racing.
