Naples is the eighth most populous city Europe, with a population of 4.1-4.9 million. It is one of the oldest continulously inhabited cities; it was first established in the bronze age of ancient Greece. The city played a major role when merging greek society with the roman culture. Naples is credited with the invention of many notable things such as pizza, the earliest known six string guitar, and the mandolin.
