Sweden has produced some of the world's most unusual cars and car companies. There is safety-obsessed Volvo, quirky Saab, and the supercar manufacturer Koenigsegg. Koenigsegg's one and only goal is to produce the fastest car in the world. Thier first car, the Koenigsegg CCR, dethroned the legendary McLaren F1 and claimed the title of World's Fastest. Their second car, the CCX, was remarkably fast, but incrdibly difficult to handle because of its' lack of downforce. Their third car, the Agera R, is attempting to defeat the Bugatti Veyron once and for all. The Agera features a twin-turbocharged 5.0-liter V8 that, when running on E85 ethanol, produces 1140 horsepower and 1200 Newton-meters of torque. This propels the car to a theoretical top speed of 273. Although it's top speed hasn't been verified, Koenigsegg has done some high speed testing and held the record for the fastest 0-186 mph with a Veyron beating time of 14.53 seconds. However, this record was later broken by the Hennessey Venom GT. The Agera R also holds the record for the fastest 0-186-0 with a time of 21.19 seconds. Koenigsegg hopes to verify its top speed soon, but until that time comes, the Koenigsegg Agera R will remain an incredibly fast and capable car from the Great White North.
