Sheogorath, Daedric Prince of Madness
Aliases- The Mad God, Lord of Madness and the Skooma Cat

Sheogorath, whose sphere is madness and whose motives are unknowable, maintains a realm known as the Shivering Isles, the Madhouse, or the Asylums. The realm consists of a main land mass surrounded by a group of smaller islands, the area of which is divided in half: the northern half of these lands is called Mania, and the southern half Dementia. This divide represents Sheogorath's split personality, the "two shades of madness". The isles are inhabited by mortals as well as Daedra, but they have been driven insane; no one ever escapes from this realm with their sanity intact to tell the tale.

The summoning date of Sheogorath is 2nd of Sun's Dawn, or whenever there is storm in the area where the summoning ritual being performed. In his shrine, Sheogorath may accept a summoning, if the summoner offered a lesser soul gem, a head of lettuce, and some yarn.

Sheogorath is one of the Four Corners of the House of Troubles; he is often associated with the fear other races have of the Dunmer, especially those who, like the Empire, might prove as useful allies. He tests the Dunmer for mental weakness.

Many have speculated that by 4E 201, the Champion of Cyrodiil has become Sheogorath, due to statements he makes while speaking with the Dovahkiin.

Jyggalag, Daedric Prince of Order

No Known Aliases

Jyggalag is the Daedric Prince of Order, but until the Third Era, not much was known about him in Tamriel beyond his name. He commands his own Daedra, the Knights of Order, which are spawned from obelisks summoned by his followers, the Priests of Order.

In times before recorded history, Jyggalag had grown immensely powerful and the other Daedric Princes had grown fearful and jealous of him. They cursed him to live as Sheogorath, the incarnation of the thing he hated most: madness. However, he would return to his true form at the end of every era to retake the Shivering Isles from his mad alter-ego in an event known as the Greymarch. Once his conquest was complete, Jyggalag would be transformed back into Sheogorath, starting the cycle over again.

At the end of the Third Era, the dawn of a new Greymarch, a lone Champion of Sheogorath was given the chance to defeat Jyggalag, halting the Greymarch before it could conquer Sheogorath's Realm. Jyggalag, released from his curse and allowed to remain in his true form, granted the Throne of Madness to the Champion and permitted them to wear the mantle of Sheogorath as Daedric Prince of Madness before leaving to roam Oblivion once more.

Jyggalag is unique among the Daedric Princes, as he represents Anuic values, like order, rather than Padomiac values, like change and chaos.
