Not everyone can make a website…but I can! For this common task, I had to develop a website about a certain topic with at least 8 pages, research the topic, and then proceed to make a flash pertaining to the specific topic. To learn how to be able to complete this, task I had to first understand how to use Dreamweaver, the program that is mainly used to make a website. Then to make the flash, I also had to learn how to use Adobe Flash. While completing this task, I acquired many skills such as time management and self-reliance to make sure that my website was complete on time. These skills were important because they were crucial to let my task become proficient. During the process, I encountered a few obstacles but did not pose a problem to overcome. For example, I had many problems trying to complete my flash and had to start over multiple times, but once I figured out what I was doing wrong, making the flash was a breeze. This tasked helped me a lot with understanding Web Design because it “showed me the ropes” of making a website and all the obstacles that can come with it. The completion of this task has helped me as a student basically for the skills I developed from it and I will be able to use them in the future such as senior project or senior paper.
