Scoring

In volleyball, there are a few ways to score a point for your team. The first way would be when the ball touches the floor. Another way one could score is if the ball is touched twice in a row or four times on one side. The third way somebody could score a point is if the ball is hit out of bounds and can't be brought back into play.

Sets in volleyball typically go to 25 points and aren't timed. The team must be ahead by 2 points in order to win a set. JV volleyball plays best out of 3 sets and Varsity plays best out of 5 sets.
