Entry into the National Jr. Honor Society is based on five qualities: Scholarship, Leadership, Character, Citizenship, and Service
In terms of Scholarship, students must have a cumulative average of 90 for the first three quarters of the school year to qualify for membership. Grades will be calculated after the 3rd quarter only for those students who have submitted a NJHS Candidate Form.

Students must have completed a minimum of 12 hours of approved community service by the deadline to qualify for membership.
All students in the 7th and 8th grade that are interested in being selected for NJHS must keep track of their community service hours and then submit the Candidate Form by April 17th 2015 in order to be considered.
Final Deadline for all service hours: April 17, 2015
NJHS Cerenony is Wednesday May 27, 2015
Only service hours served from July 2014 through April 2015 are acceptable.
An adult other than a parent must supervise each project. The supervising adult must be listed on and sign the community service record sheet.
