Review internet safety rules.

1. As a class we'll make a list of internet safety rules.
2. We will use Print Shop to create a poster.

Your Job:

1. Remember at least two internet safety rules and teach others by making a poster using Print Shop.

  • Always tell an adult.
  • Never give out personal information.
  • Never go and meet anyone you meet on the internet.

2. Students will know what to do if they come to a bad site.

  • Always tell an adult.
  • Never give out personal information.
  • Never go and meet anyone you meet on the internet.

2. Students will know what to do if they come to a bad site.

3. Students will save and print after poster has been checked by a teacher.

If you finish try:

2. Bang on Time Read the time in words and then stop the clock when the hands are in the matching position.

3. Making Change Can you make change using the fewest possible coins and bills?

1. Today we will answer the research question, "What makes a good friend? " First, view the film How Can You be a Good Friend? and Friendship Soup . As you view the films, make a list of the ways you can be a good friend.

2. Create a tree map in Kidspiration to organize your ideas about the 4 most important traits that make a good friend. The main idea is Traits that Make a Good Friend. Save your tree map.

Lesson: Webbing is a good way to organize our ideas and thinking. A web includes a main idea, sub-topics and details.

Student Activities: Kidspiration!

1. Finish your Traits of a Good Friend tree map in Kidspiration.

2. Circle the trait that you think is the most important. Then circle key words on your Kidspiration tree map to use for research.

3. Research: Use your key words and KidRex to find out more about your traits. Record important information on your tree map.

Your Job:

1. Create a web with a main idea, sub-topics and details.
2. Research your topic using a new search engine - KidRex.
