Narragansett Pier Middle School wants to keep you informed!

We are pleased to announce that a new electronic mailing list, PIER-L, has been created to increase the communication between school and home.  PIER-L is an “announcement list” that utilizes your e-mail connectivity to keep you up-to-date with school information. By signing up to PIER-L, information that is important to parents; such as meeting dates, upcoming events, and club news, is delivered directly to your own personal e-mail. PIER-L supplements existing communication methods such as the monthly newsletter and flyers sent home with students and is not intended to replace these existing vehicles.

PIER-L was implemented to enhance parent communication and we are happy to be able to provide this free service.  All that you need to sign up to PIER-L is an existing e-mail account.

TO SUBSCRIBE TO THE PIER-L LIST:

1. Click here or open your email program, and type in the following address in the "To:" field: LISTSERV@RIDE.RI.NET
2. Turn off your signature file (if you use one) and leave the "Subject" field blank
3. In the body of the message write: SUBSCRIBE PIER-L <Your First Name> <Your Last Name>
   
   Remember, there must be no other information in the body of the message except the above command. If your signature appears, the computer will not recognize your request and the message will kick back to you.
   
   
4. Send the message.  Check your messages. You will receive an automatically generated message stating that your subscription request has been forwarded to the list owner.  If you do not receive this message then check your sent message and compare it against the above information.
